Bring Your Own Art  (BYOA)

An open space to share your art and see others’

 

The equivalent of “open mike,” this night promises to be fun and creative. A celebration of the Portland CG community, sharing works in progress, projected art, animation, 2D and 3D models, fine art, visual, web, print, game and graphic design.  Let’s learn from each other!

· Who                   Animators, Artists, Visual, Graphic and Game Designer, Modelers, Video Editors, Film Artists, Students, the public and Cascade SIGGRAPH members

Art Specifications, Participation and Exhibit Hall

The Art Institute is proud to co-sponsor BYOA. Please contact Allena Baker, Art Institute at 503.382.4843 or abbaker@aii.edu for media specifications and come to the Art Institute on Saturday, April first to test your projected files. Please bring files on disk, DVD or VHS and use MPEG or Quicktime formats.  Participants are asked to not depend on downloading your files from the Internet. Also contact Michael Smith at byoa@cascadesiggraph.org if you are a participating artist and to get your name on the list.

 
Location and Registration

The night will start at 6:00 in the exhibit hall of the Art Institute, just inside the front door.

 

"The process is to first contact Michael Smith (503-809-1602 or email: byoa@cascadesiggraph.org), the Cascade SIGGRAPH coordinator and let him know you want to show your art, then come to the Art Institute on Saturday, April 1 to test your files and meet with Allena Baker, the gallery coordinator. Presentations will start at 6:00 and be roughly in the order that Michael has them on his list."

About Cascade ACM SIGGRAPH

The Cascade ACM SIGGRAPH Chapter exists to serve the needs of the Oregon and Southwest Washington computer graphics industry and students. Through meetings, workshops, conferences, and other activities, the Cascade ACM SIGGRAPH Chapter works to promote an increased knowledge of and greater interest in the educational, artistic, and scientific aspects and applications of modern technology to graphics, enhancing communication between persons in Oregon and Southwest Washington that have an interest in any aspect of computer graphics.
